New Executive Director at GenealogicalStudies.com

Support an Author. Spread the love.

The last 6 months have been some of the busiest of my career… all because I started a new career! Yes, I’m still going to be writing and publishing books. But that has also expanded to incorporate genealogy, as many of you know. I haven’t done a big splash about my new endeavor because there will be a giant, humongous cannonball splash in the winter when the new website is ready! So much to prepare! If you ever wondered if you could earn a living in genealogy, come find out at the student orientation tomorrow, Aug. 30th, 2022.

National Institute for Genealogical Studies

In March 2022, I took on the executive director position at the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. Yep, the School I graduated from this same time last year! The founding of the school created an amazing forward momentum about 25 years ago. Talk about going viral! From a small local company to a large internationally relied on education system, GenealogicalStudies.com grew and grew and kept on growing! But the founder decided she wanted to retire and do more with her family. And that’s where I come in đŸ™‚ I was about to open my own genealogy publishing business when this opportunity snuck up and plopped in my lap.

The National Institute for Genealogical Studies found at https://GenealogicalStudies.com is in a large modernization process. This coming winter, we’ll be showing off a new site, new opportunities for course materials and books, and smart ways to grow our students’ opportunities into the future past graduation. There’s been a lot going on behind-the-scenes that will be a big reveal in early 2023. Very exciting! You already see the new school emblem, colors, and logos. Wait till you see the rest! I seriously struggle to sleep at night because I’m so excited about what’s happening.

Angela BreidenbachBut in the meantime, we’re offering a fall student orientation for new and returning students to familiarize you with taking courses online, learning how to use the student briefcase, and how the online courses work so you can earn your genealogical studies certification or enjoy a class to build your family historian skills.

Join me on 30 August at either Zoom meeting:

11 AM Eastern OR 7 PM Eastern.

Click this Zoom link to join us for first the presentation and then you can ask questions to get comfortable with your online classes. See you there!

Do you like the new sapphire blue, white, and silver school colors?

Can you guess what our school mascot will be? I can’t wait to introduce him later this fall!

So there you have it. I’m a writer who likes to play the harp secretly in her spare time while training Muse as a fe-lion personal assistant and running an international genealogy school.
