Hi friends, the new GenealogicalStudies.com site opens!
Over the last year I’ve been hard at work with the IIGS team rebuilding and modifying the International Institute of Genealogical Studies, previously known as the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. When I became the executive director in March of 2022 the process to modernization started. The online school is now registered as a trade school in the US, has a new name to reflect the international education and student body, new branding, and the new website just opened! Yes, it’s been a herculean effort by everyone! Take a peek at the first thing you’ll see on the homepage…

There’s lots more coming, and some content still transferring for current students, but so far she’s a beautiful new site with lots more interactivity. The move gave us a future as the old site was over 20 years old and quickly fading. Plain speak, it was too out of date to continue. We’re thrilled with the new one. So many people to thank for their work and for the work yet to come. The following people have integral parts to play from developing to updating content to design work. Thank you to Tom, Shawn, and Kevin! Thank you to Sue de Groot, Kimberly Van Dijk, AngieLynn Rodesky, Cheryl Levy, Brenda Wheeler, Claire Bradley, Alison Spring, Melanie Holtz, and Jenneth Dyck. There are others who have stepped in to do some support work or virtual meetings. We’re so grateful for them!
From work to family to creative “stuff”, it’s been unbelievably busy! I bet your life is, too!
On personal news: I’ll have another book out in 2024. Not sure of the timing yet. But she’s a comin’ down the track!
We’ve also had the last two of our children get married in the last year. And now, grandchild #11 is on the way! Holy cow, when did our kids get that old? On that note, our grands range 1-16! What?! Love hanging out with them!

Thank you for catching up with me, Angie
